During many months, fragments of a fiction are displayed on Paris’s billboards and telephone booths. Passer-by are invited to answer on the phone the question: “Who are you?”. During the sleepless night, about fifty modified telephone booth flash on and off when their number is dialed. A call center situated at the city town hall automatically dials the numbers: the passer-by opens the door, pick-up the phone and hears the voice of someone uttering his own name, telling his life story, an anecdote or describing himself. After that, a new voice asks: “Who are you?”. At this point, the person in the cabine can leave a message while his voice, mixed to movie clips from the 70s dealing with telephone conspiracies, is transmitted and played in the official building.
